This is a spey fly I tied last night. I call it the Midnight Spey because of the black dubbing I used for the body.

Since this fly is designed for Steelhead and Salmon, and the nearest place to fish for them is in the Great Lakes, I don't think I'll be fishing this fly anytime soon. I do have some flies for the trout fishing near home though that I will post later. I plan on going fishing tomorrow so maybe I'll show some fish pics after. In the mean time, here's a pic of a trout I caught last summer. This fish has a fly I tied hanging from it's jaw.

Thanks. I gotta run out and get some glass when I get paid and hopefully before the only hardware store in town closes for good.

Thank you. I tried a black, blue and green background but settled on this pinkish color. Seems to give more contrast.

Fellow fly tyer / fisherman, Great photo. I think there might be enough fly tyer's to get some more photos in this string. As soon as I find my vest and fly box, I will submit.
I have not yet fished Arkansas, would like to soon. Michigan
