I also used the Nikon 18-200 lens for years, but between the zoom creep and the lack of weather sealing, it was time to move on.

Thanks! Of course my prime macro was on my lens this morning capturing some water drops...lol. Easy come easy go! But for those days that I just don't want to lug it all..this one is gonna suite me fine. Thank you again!

Thanks! I would have gone for that one if it weren't for budget issues! So far though my shots are coming out good so I am happy. Thank you for your input!

I have a Nikon 18-200 f/3.5 that seldom comes off my D7100. It is a great lens.

i leave an 85 f/1.8 on all the time, i will sometimes put a 135 DC on instead. take it all if going to a static location. i've given up zooms

Hello all,

I have the Nikon 18-200 VR II and at the moment seriously considering getting the Tamron 16-300 for an upcoming long-haul trip. Grateful if anyone in this thread can give feedback/comparisons on/between the Tamron 16-300 and the Nikon 18-200. Thanks.
