The United States has captured a man linked to the Benghazi terror attack that killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans, authorities announced Tuesday.

The suspect, Ansar al-Sharia commander Ahmed Abu Khattala, was captured Sunday in Libya somewhere south of Benghazi in a joint U.S. military and law enforcement operation. He will face prosecution in the United States.

I know I feel better now! After we are attacked and killed, our government will apprehend and try the bad guys! Makes me feel safer, doesn't it you? 'Course I'd feel a heck of a lot safer if my government guaranteed and provided adequate security in the first place so I didn't have to be dead before they did something!. Or maybe if they just guaranteed that somebody would TRY to intervene if I am attacked?

Come t' think of it that's why I have a couple of weapons in my house. 'Cause the police can only come AFTER the bad guy does something bad. Just like our government.

It took all of 16 days to arrest the film maker conveniently blamed for the attack.......and 645 days to capture the suspected terrorist ring leader of the attack....who never was "in hiding" in the first place! Go figure!!

I would be interested to know how the captured man can definitely be linked to the killing of the Ambassador and the three key diplomats. Or, is a a smoke screen to calm those of us who are absolutely sick of how the Benghazi situation was handled.

I believe they have him on video at the scene, for one thing.

Well, he will be brought back here and given a lawyer from Harvard or Yale and tried in Criminal Court for murder. And THAT will send a message to other terrorists, that if they catch you in a couple of years they will take you to an air conditioned American jail, with TV and library and all the comforts of home and give you top notch legal representation, and maybe eventually they will trade you for some American guy.

I think a more fitting end would be what our Ambassador got, or a hellfire rocket in the back seat of the guy's car. That would send the correct message, one that would be understood.

And THAT is the only message THEY understand! The more folks that understand that, the better chance we will have in the future.

WarWoman understands! Nice to have another Bodicca on line! (ancient British warrior Queen - fought the Romans. Hadrian built a wall across Britain to keep her kind out)

When British troops took over her farm while her husband was away fighting in the revolutionary war, Nancy Hart, aka "The Warwoman", shot a couple of them, then ran down a couple of others and had them hung. This was in the Southern Appalachians, and I believe Hart county in Georgia, our 13th colony, was named for her.

.
You're on the other end of the state. We're in the mountains of Georgia, 10 miles from NC.
