The reason the first few responses are somewhat sarcastic is because the subject of Canon (one n) vs Nikon is a very contentious one. Its like discussing religion AND politics. You'll get a number of opinions. Your question is also very vague. Are you talking about dslrs? Mirrorless cameras? Point & shoot cameras? Are you talking about entry level or high end. What's your budget? The short version is that both companies make great products. Right now Nikon has the edge with regard to their sensors but otherwise in most practical ways, for most people, either brand will give you great results. There are fanboys here from both sides who will tell you that their favorite brand is much much better than the other, but in the end you can't go wrong with either. Don't base your decision on what we tell you. Do a little, or a lot, of independent research.

He was being humerus, make no bones about it, precisely as a result of the OPs misspelling. If he had spelled Canon correctly the joke about the towels would have been superfluous. By the way I know how to spell humorous, but the bone reference who have not been remotely funny that way.
