Another question on the lightzone...when I save a picture it saves it smaller then the original. Ex: original is 3.2mb and the lightzone is only 113kb. A lot less pixels. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you saving the pictures when you are done? Sometimes it takes 1 or 2 saves for Picasa to actually save, you will see a box pop up with the question "Save changes to Disk?" Unless that box pops up and you hit the yes tab, your original w/o the changes will be what is stored.

After editing photos in Picasa, I use an Epson program (Epson printer) to print on a CD or DVD. Problem is, the photo(s) i select to print on the disk, are always the original photo, not the edited one(s)? How do I get an edited photo on the disk?

I am saving by picking the 'save as' tab. They are coming up in Picasa with the edits, but they have a lot less pixels than the originals. Should I save another way? Thank you for helping.

Because whenever you make changes in a photo in post processing whether it be in Picasa or other programs you begin to lose pixels. If once you have made changes on your photo go right under the photo where it says export, click on that and it will open you to a page where you can make a new folder and put your completed photos into that folder. Also you can make it smaller because on some sites/contests they will not accept photos bigger than 2mbs. Just remember every time you PP a photo that photo loses some of it's IQ so make sure when you process a photo you do as much as you can on one try versus going back and having to redo it. Just do a little test of taking it in and out of Picasa 4 times, making changes each time then look at the original at 100% and see how the photo has degraded. Good luck.........

You do not necessarily lose pixels, clarity, definition etc. when postprocessing. It depends on what software you are using and how you save. Lightroom, for example, never loses IQ on its pictures no matter how many times you edit.

All the replies so far are more complex than you need.

After you finish editing click on "go back to library" Then above all the pictures you have edited there is an icon that looks like a floppy disc. Click on that icon and all your editing will remain and when you burn to a CD the pictures will be as edited..

This is much easier to do than all the replies so far.

After you finish editing the pictures click on "go back to library" Then above all the pictures you are editing you will see an icon looking like a floppy disc. Click on that icon and your editing will be saved so when you burn to CD the resulting CD will have all your final work.

Not 'all'. This was exactly what *I* suggested a number of replies ago.
