I'm retired and don't make any money from working anymore ... so I'm definitely not a pro ... however I do spend 25% on photography so does that make me a con ? LOL

You and me both~ My hubby thinks I keep the local camera store in business all by myself.

i sell prints when i can - just sold one a few days ago, as a matter of fact - but pro? hardly! let's call it a "profitable hobby", and leave it at that...

Pro for the last 28 years and still shooting now mainly for a large company for the last 6 years. 100% income.

I am a professional and much enjoy this discussion forum. I see a lot of so called amateur photos posted that in my view should and deserve to be published. I also belong to various pro forums and don't enjoy the "snooty" attitude that some present but they do provide some great technical insight. However the stigma of "professional' as related to photography to me is a moot point. I believe photography is an art form and everyone should just enjoy the craft at any level and with any level of equipment. CJ7

I am not a pro either, although I had some pictures published. These pictures were of people, the one category of photography I do not like. I would never sell any of my pictures because that would take all the joy out of this activity.
