He said he studied the evidence and the evidence showed that it was impossible for that many Jews to have been killed in gas chambers. Many others have come to this conclusion as well. It's much more likely the work camp prisoners died from contagious diseases and starvation.

Does the actual number of victims or the way they died change the nature of the Nazi war crimes. Whether most of them were shot, gassed, or worked and starved to death doesn't make them any less dead. Nor does the actual number make it any less a form of genocide.
