I would have to research a little more, but if memory serves correctly, the majority of the Jews that were exterminated were from other countries besides Germany. Pretty sure Jews from Poland and Russia made up the biggest share of those imprisoned then exterminated. The lucky ones prolonged death working in the German factories unless they managed to escape. My understanding is many of the German Jews fled to Poland and other countries. Many that were not able to escape to the U.S. merely extended their life span by weeks or months before Poland was invaded, then again when Germany preceded their inevitable downfall by extending the front eastward into Russia.
Regarding the good Bishops position on the Holocaust, he doesn't deny it happened, but stated a mere 300,000 were murdered, not the 6.5 million later reported. I suspect those numbers were stated for Germany only and not the surrounding countries that Germany invaded. Even if that was the case, that does not diminish the cruelty and proved their was an agenda to eliminate them. Even the bishop confirms that. One more point if I may, if the holocaust did not exist, why is it a crime in Germany even today to deny it's existence?

You should get your facts straight. Jews never worked in german factories, they were forced to work as slave laborers and when they were too sick and tired to work any more because they weren't fed they were sent to be exterminated in the concentration camps. Almost all the jews in Germany were slaughtered turned in by their friends and neighbors. Jews had to wear an arm band that identified them as jews and any jew could have been taken and sent to a concentration camp and exterminated. The germans tried to exterminate every jew that they could find. There was a very concerted effort by the Germans to eradicate all jews from Europe. There were over 2,000 concentration camps scattered over Europe and they all had extermination venues. Very few jews were able to escape the Holocaust because they didn't have enough money to bribe the Germans so they could leave. You should do some studying about this subject and understand the magnitude of the slaughter.
