Lay it on me. The only way I can learn. I have thick skin and no talent. This is my first effort.

Don't put yourself down. I love #1 I think it really works well in black and white. Looking forward to more from you.

I like the color of #2. I would crop it down to get rid of the busy top part to lead the eye to the faces of the boys - it's a very nice scene and nice photo.

I like the first photo. The only problem that I see with this is that there is too much on the top half of the photo that does nothing to tell your story. I would have composed the shot to have more of the players and less above their heads. In the third shot I don't know where to go. Is the action with the umpire? Is it with the players? I keep searching from one to the other. This is distracting. We know that there is an umpire watching over the game, so he is not really necessary. Focus on the players. I don't mean to be critical and I think the black and white in the first shot is really a good idea. You are seeing things while shooting that translate well into a single image. This is important. Now you need to fine tune. I definitely did not look at your photos and think to myself: "This guy needs to take up knitting!" I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Good shooting.

Thank you. I was in a bit of a panic and really had no idea of what to shoot. I picked the only spot where I didn't have a fence in front of me. I'm brand new to dslr and never shot in public. The boys helping the opposing team member seemed like a good idea. I appreciate the feedback. I will attempt to improve.
