Look up my screen name, which is my real name, and location. You will a list of my posts. Check the one listed as "....Test shots" and you will see the shots I made in the backyard. They were moved from the "general" forum, to the "Gallery" section. The first image taken is at 150mm, and the last two are at 600mm with a 1.4 extender, and the last with a 2X extender. The series is of the markers across from my house, marking a gas line. They are about 75 yards from my door. The photos were all taken using a Canon 7D. I hope this helps.

Most likely, the 7D MII would not be able to autofocus with that lens and a TC attached.

You will not know this until the camera becomes a reality, and in your hot hand. As for me, if it focuses or not it's not a problem. You can always tape the pins.

Bill I have a Tamron 1.4 TC and it works with the Tamron 70-300 lens with all the functions on both the 7D & T3i so do you think it will work on the 150-600 lens and the 7D and T3i....Rich

Let me get my crystal ball. Oh, yes here it is. I would think it would not be will it work, but how well. All I can say is my Kenko did give a slower focus response, but it did focus as you can see. You may want to give it a little help though. There is a lot about faster focus speed. First is the cameras battery fully charged? Is there enough contrast for the focus beam to discern the available contrast in the subject. Then if there is a pathway for the motor to run through the converter. Is there a built in loop that needs to be attended to, like taping the pins? You could just buy the lens, try it out for a few days and if it doesn't work for you return it. I do know it will surprise you with its image quality without any extenders.

Thanks Bill for your reply. I know it worked pretty good with the 70-300 so I was hopping your crystal ball would be able to give me the answer but as you said the only way to really find out is to try it..Thanks again for your reply....Rich

No, I'm 100% sure that it will not focus with the ext. (especially the 2x). You talking f10 to f12.6 here, so I say - no way!
