What camera type : film, digital, pinhole, polaroid, point and shoot, etc., what would it be? What single lens would you have?

Simple, I would never just have one camera. I'm down to a few though, I sold 4 SLR's a couple of years ago with a lot of glass and I have not replaced a single one, but I still have more than one film SLR and more than one DSLR and I plan to keep it that way (I use all of them on a regular basis)!

What are you trying to learn from this question?

Last year, I took about 98% of my pictures with my D800, and probably 60% with the 85mm lens. But some of the shots with the other lenses (300mm, macro, and 24mm) are keepers. I could put a 28-300mm lens to get the coverage, but that wouldn't be the same, a lot of the shots were close to maximum aperture which the zoom doesn't match.

Fujifilm X-S1 (which I currently own), but might be persuaded to move to the Canon SX50HS.

That being said, my Canon 7D and 5DMKIII are safe from being left behind.

My Nikon D90 because I can set it to "trap focus".

Lens would be Nikon 70/300

My Nikon D800 and D610 will not trap focus.

I do use Phototrap model 33 with the D610 and D800, just not as fast to setup.

I take about 50% of my pictures that way.

What's this "which one lens, camera, etc." thing? Pro photographers all have backups, as do most of us amateurs. I have an E-PL5 as my primary camera and a Kodak Z990 as a backup, along with a collection of Kodaks from Ebay and now a 35mm film SLR to play with.

If you could have one pair of shoes...ponder that for comparison.

My Nikon D800. I don't even know if there is an upgrade. All I could ask for now is some quality lenses to bring out the best in the camera. I have a 28-300mm which is an excellent lens for my needs....I'd just love to have something exotic.

I am getting older or the DSLR's are putting on weight.. So I am down to using m4/3's camera. Olympus OMD E-M5 with several lens. The IQ of these cameras is pretty, pretty good..

I enjoy technology and in cameras no exception . Have owned many cameras and today I am down to four . Two Nikons and two Canons with 5D Mark III used 75% 0f the time … but use all ! It is obviously a matter of personal choice and budget . I cannot see myself with only one camera .

One camera is fine (Nikon D800) but I need more than one lens, however, if I could only have one - 85mm.
