Here's the second photo painted with Corel PE4. This is just my adjustments to change the season to either earlier in the fall or spring time. I really like this photo and only added the various colors in experimentation with painting. I have a lot to learn yet and appreciate your submissions. Thank you.

P.S. The hardest part of this painting was cloning out the car and for sale sign on the tree.

Hi Bloke- here's my rendition of your most excellent capture.
I downloaded your color photo as is and then used Corel Painter Essentials 4 to paint it using a Sargent brush. I let the program run until I liked it, then I used a soft cloner brush for some minor details and followed that up with a hard cloner for specifics. Then I added water color washes of varying hues and intensities, ( I may have gotten carried away with the added leaves on the foreground tree) Then I added some further color variations and finally felt satisfied.
Your photos are awesome and these type sheds are my favorite type of photo painting. Keep em coming friend.

I like that! I have a bunch of painter-type add-ins/presets/plugins for PS and LR, but I have never really bothered with them. I have always tried for the more realistic view, but maybe I will try my hand, one of these days... Thanks for sharing!

These are really something, Bloke. Love them both!

Thanks, - and thanks for your version (above) too. I have a few more of this set, but I just got back from shooting a wedding (not as *the* wedding photog, however!), and I had 4 different cameras producing video, plus shooting stills on the T4i, so I have a lot of uploading and editing to do... I will post another couple on a new thread later this evening, hopefully.

I am bowled over at the response these have received!

All the versions and edits have been beautiful and a lot of fun to compare and enjoy. Thanks so much, Bloke, for inviting us to play :)

Your great shed photos inspired us, Bloke. Post more any time so we can enjoy them, please.

I like both of these more than the originals mainly due to the surroundings to the right of the shed. I still prefer color because I find gray, peeling whitewash and rust a pleasing combination that compliments the look and wear of these types of buildings.

Ok, this was a slightly different angle, and I was able to clone out the cables and what was left of the more modern building to the left. Better?

I am not a fan of vertical (portrait-style) shots, since almost all my viewing is on screen. The good ones, I use for wallpaper backgrounds. So, I went more with a square format here. Also, I didn't want to lose any of that sky!
