VERY impressive! I think I need a sugar-daddy!

Thank you, Carlysue. I'm sure you can afford a $1069 Tamron 150-600mm lens. I got my recent birthday money together plus I just mailed in my Sigma 150-500mm lens to B&H and should get $465 ( in excellent shape) for it. So all that will pay for 90% of the cost of the new Tamron 150-600mm lens. Being retired on a modest pension and soc. sec. does not allow me to fork out $10,000 for a Canon super lens.

Nice shots, Regis. The new lens appears to be very sharp. I'm impressed that you can get that kind of sharpness from hand held shots at that magnification. Really good shooting.

Thank you very much. I take several shots per second so at least one shot turns out sharp.

I am impressed with this second set of the photos, handheld mode Or not. It must feel great to be able to reach that much for the money. I think Tamron is putting Sigma and the main brands to shame by coming up with this lens. They are a step ahead of the competitors. Also, i could not agree more with the idea that prices should normalize down. If Tamron and Sigma can make good lenses at reasonable prices, why can't Canon and Nikon? Probably, with my previous experience in mfg., the lenses cost $200-300 to make, and are sold at $2000-4000, etc. No kidding.

Today I shot 6 photos of wildlife with my new Tamron 150-600mm lens. Today was cloudy and hazy so the photos are not perfect, but I wanted to try the new lens out and it worked great. Very fast focusing. All photos were hand held.

Great set Regis, love the last one but all are very good.

 Nice shots! Last time I checked B&H the sig was going for the same price as the tamron. If so it seems the tamron is a better deal.
