Can you Identify these mushrooms?

These mushrooms appeared on the stump of a tree which was cut down. Can anyone identify them? The first picture is out of the camera; in the second one the color was saturated, Did I overdo it?

Beautiful!! The saturated pic shows more of the beauty and detail! It may not be what you actually saw, but it is beautiful to see!

I think they are called Oyster mushrooms.....these would be older and splitting up it seems...............I may be totally wrong though ! :) lol

I really don't think those are the eating kind of mushrooms, those grow in the ground near trees not from them .
Google edible mushrooms first would be my suggestion.

Thanks, I guess I didn't overdo the saturation. I am very new to using DSLR cameras.
