Hi again - have been away so long finding where infrared is taking me - have been remiss in not commenting on how much I love all the photos
Have just been exploring the E-P1 & Panny G2 and a new direction of Digital Sketches from the IR Photos - so would love to share some on them
Cheers for years

Colin,
Cool images, it reminds me of the 'lensbaby effect' except with subject instead of focus.

Mike, Welcome back, I hope your Little Woo is all better soon! Like your shots, looking forward to more soon. Eric
Thanks Eric...... She's still not doing real great. I got to play a little this afternoon, and walked across the street to the church parking lot. The first picture is how the trees really look, second one is how it comes out of the camera, with a green white balance, and the third is a little channel swapping. The trees were kinda of a golden reddish color. At least with a Canon Camera, you can load various different color white balances right in the camera to experiment with.

Sorry, I didn't have a lot of time and I see the last shot has some noise in the sky... I'll have to redo it...;0) Still getting use to using and doing color instead of B&W.

Mike,
A little noise in the sky never hurt anybody.
Here's a few from last week

A collegue of mine brought me a copy of Capture NX2 today. I wanted to post comparison photos and see what you all think. I think it does a better job of "cooling" the image.

Here is another comparison between Raw Therapee and Capture NX2. I haven't really liked the IR effect on people but I think my wife was the exception in this case.
I did dodge her eyes on the Capture NX2 version after I converted it to JPG. I have noticed it underexposes a little.

Eric; I am glad to see you have a several new artists posting some very nice images. I would like to add my welcome to IR Jim, renomike, and nikonnut. All of you have had some nice posts this weekend. Also, I like your new posts.
Colin: I like your experiment in the IR Sketch—very nice!
My post tonight are some images that I took this weekend on a trip to Lake Chelan.

I have heard that both Raw Therapee and SilkyPix are RAW processing software programs that leave a lot to be desired. I think your photo examples prove that for Raw Therapee.
I like your Fair Lady photo the best.

The fisheye photo is the best of the lot in my opinion. Lake Chelen looks like a good place to hang out and shoot.

A few more from Bay's Mountain, I may go back there today...

Capture NX 2 seems like a winner and love your "My Fair Lady" with it too
Larry Thank you
Nice to see your Lake Chelan Photos and especially the last two - our lakes seem to have more Evergreens  And another thumbs up for the Fisheye
Eric
Your Bay's Mountain photos make me wish I was going there with you and also with Larry to Lake Chelan

Here's one from the Panny G2 with 590nm following the aftermath of the Earlier Floods that completely change the path of the Elk River. This was from the middle of the river where it use to be.

Cool image.

Surprisingly I had been using Raw Therapee because it did a better job than Adobe Camera Raw, at least in my experience. Adobe left the images much more red/pink.
Thanks for the compliments on My Fair Lady, I like her the best too. :D
