What was the worst camera you ever owned

I've enjoyed reading the thread about our first camera and I started to wonder about our worst. I will start by admitting that I once bought a KEIV 88 from KIEV USA - it was a total turkey. I could not believe I had spent extra money to pay for product inspections and improvements that had never been performed. I don't recall how much time and money I spent sending that junk pile to KIEV USA for "repairs". I will say that the few pictures I managed to get were excellent because the 80mm Volna lens was a fine sample.

Each and everyone I have owned far out paced me and my abilities, or to be more accurate my lack of.

fuji s1800 for a day.....could of been the class4 card that contributed to its freezing up and card error....could not afford the loss of a whole day of shooting....back it went... spent the money on a Canon... and Budda is right most cameras far excceds the users ability....for one (READING THE MANUAL)

My first camera was given me. A Brownie with a crack that let light on the film. Tape fixed that. Even then, it was the camera that, as a kid, got me obsessed with taking photographs. My worst was my best.

My worst was one of the first Digital cameras produced by Kodak, don't remember what year or what I paid....total scrap !

Got a used Brownie that was about worn-out. Don't know how many rolls I put through that poor camera. Not sharp, colors were off. But it gave me the bug. So xx years and 28 or so cameras later. Here I am in the digital world. Who'd thought.

When I was very young, I discovered that my Mattel camera did not actually capture images. What a letdown!
Since then, I have never been disappointed. I started real photography with a Nikon F2, and my D90 is my fifth Nikon body.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic when I was 10....Ended up shooting pictures at an older friend's wedding
having them, kneeling before the minister for the shot after the ceremony. (as per my request) ....the truth is stranger than fiction.

My worst was a first generation Canon P&S digital camera (about 10 years ago). It took good photos, but the menu system was downright maddening. Gave up and bought a Kodak Easyshare and jammed up the zoom in a sandstorm while learning to hang glide.
Hubby bought me a Canon G10 which I absolutely adored! Canon vastly improved their menu system and was back in my good graces once again.
When the G10 was stolen during my house robbery, I upgraded to the Canon T2i, which has become my third child!
And to think that my most-hated camera was a Canon! I've come full circle!

My worst was my first as well. I don't remember what the brand was but it came as a free gift when I bought a computer. It was a 1.3 megapixel digital that didn't have a moniter on the back so you had to wait to download the pics you had taken to see what you had. It only ever took one good photo and even that wasn't in good focus.
I also had a cheap vivitar that took better pictures but the plastic battery door broke the first time I changed the batteries. But those two crappy cameras introduced me to photography and while I'll never be a great photographer it's something I enjoy.

By far, was a Fuji Finepix S8000. Who ever was in charge of quality control must have been on vacation. The mode control knob broke, took it back to the dealer, and he could see the plastic was full of air bubbles. I got it replaced, and within a couple of months the same problem. Fuji then said it was out of warranty, my problem. Moved up to Nikon and no problems. Motto: NEVER BUY FUJI PRODUCTS.

I have owned a Cannon AE-1, Cannon A-1, Nikonos 4-A, Nikon N90s, Nikon F100, Nikon D70, Nikon P80, and a Nikon D300 and the only one I found disappointing was the P80.

I had a used Nikon with a very wierd focus screen (not sure if that is what you call it)....hated it.

But come to think of it...I never really had a bad camera. I've had some real complicated one's that I never could figure out. But never a crapper.

the only bad one was one i picked at a goodwill store for $1.50,film striped when i tried to rewind it.
