The last shot of the mushrooms is outstanding. It looks like something you would see in a magazine.

Your images are wonderful, CCG, but I especially love the way you caught that Daisy. I like the angle and the light. Maybe it's because I have an affinity for Daisies. I have to comment on the mushroom too. The detail is amazing. :-D

Thanks, Nightski. As I've said, the macro forum works very well with lots of constructive comments. I've only been doing macro for about a year (mostly during the warm months). I think I would have given up if not for the help of the great people on the macro forum. Nobody really sugarcoats anything and I've learned a lot from them.

I'll be in as soon as I get my 100mm macro. :-) It's on my wish list at Amazon.

CoolCameragirl, Great looking pictures even on your flickr page. I'm a real amateur at this macro. Maybe you can give me tip or two. What lens are you using and in some of your close-ups the background is black. Do you work with the flowers or insects with a setup with a black background or Am I guessing. I would love to hear your feedback.

When using speedlight illumination for the subject, and your background is in shade, the background will be much darker than subject.
