I was exited to make a wedding slideshow from Lightroom directly from my collection. Disappointed however in the limitations. Need an outside audio editor for more than one song, very few transition options, text editor is lacking.

Can anyone recommend a good slideshow program? I saw from a previous post that Proshow was mentioned.

I downloaded a trial version of Producer. Thanks, I'll give it a try. Currently going through the wizard.

I think Windows Movie Maker works so well I make music videos with pictures for posting on my YouTube. I download free and paid music from vimeo.com. It also cuts/splices sound. Anything (mainstream)under 30 seconds needs no licence.
For video or video picture mix I have found (Real Player) useful for converting video to mp3 format for the purpose of preserving the time line during transitions from one camera to another. Or for inserting a photo into a video. WMV will allow you to here the original sound and the mp3 at the same time so you can sink them before lowering the video volume to 0

Lots of tutorials out there too.
I'm always learning about new features.
The thing I like about Producer is the ability to include layers and edit in Photoshop through the program.

I've used ProShow Gold. I think GoofieNewfie recommended it a few months ago.

I like what the trial version created. However, I need to figure out how to add and adjust more music and create a title slide.

Yes, it does take a bit of figuring, but it is very flexible. If I had to do another show, it would be like starting all over for me. Next time I use it, I'll have to write out directions for myself.

I've used Premier Elements for a few years and have been very satisfied. Premier Elements is the "partner" to Photoshop Elements.

Pro Show Gold is probably all the slideshow program that most of us need. Lots of transitions, pick and edit music for music track, layers on a single slide to show multiple photos with multiple effects on a single slide, lots of photo effects. Manually assign slide times or let the program set slide timing to use up an entire song, and on and on. Wonderful program.

Yes, free I believe with micrsoft. plenty of transions, effects, adjust length of each slide or auto click to fit the song. Takes any music you put in. But maintains the artist electronic tagging. it also Adds your choice of starting features for DVDs you burn. the thing that plays all night if you dont click the play button before you go to sleep on a store bought DVD haha

I've used DVD Photo Slide Show Pro. It's easy to use and I've always gotten positive feedback about every show I've made.

I have been using Animoto but I am not thrilled with it. Way too limited unless you want to pay for the pro version.
