Janet Napolitano just resigned as head of Homeland Security. Another "Czar" bites the dust. Any guesses on who her replacement might be?

I think everyone should Google Libertarian. I believe more people would identify with this belief than the other two choices.

Nope, there there are at least two of us. Though I am a recovering Republican.

I'll take the job if it's offered. I like the perks that go with Government service.

It was just a little friendly mocking of DanDickens2's rambling epistle.

Your comment actually applies to yourself. First, you probably did not check how long the person asking the question has been an UHH member, or if (s)he had read General Chitchat before. Secondly, you generalized from a single person's comment about the mental prowess of all liberals.

No there are a few living in the darkness of misinformation but don't fret, we are all family here and will gladly guide you into the light of truth. Liberalism is curable.

Great idea: let us cure the disease that supported all the great social advances in the history of our country, and embrace "conservatism" (actually right wing politics), which opposed them all, from abolition of slavery, to woman suffrage, fair labor standards, civil rights movement, etc.

Jim - If you approach liberalism with a mindset of truthful seeking, you'll come back where you started. It takes no time at all to reach the full width and depth of liberalism and the thinking mind will never be satisfied there.

Twardlow: I miss your point...

Nagy: His point was to insult your intelligence, and to generalize that to all liberals.

Bangee5: Are you thinking of coming out of the closet?

Nagy: There is no need for liberals to be in any closet. Standing for the rights of everyone, as opposed to the right wing initiative to shift all wealth to a few is nothing of which to be ashamed.

Oh no Bang -- I have been out of the closet for a long time. It was just as I was reading the posts in the General Chit-Chat today that I was struck, as I am on most days, that the majority of the posts and comments seem to be at the conservative, right-end of the spectrum.

The right wing faction is much larger here than in the general population, and very vocal.

Okay Peter, I’m a conservative and yet I am certainly oppose to any form of slavery, I would never argue against a woman’s right to vote, I believe strongly in fair labor standards and I certainly am not a racist, some of my dearest and closest friends are African-Americans. So I’d suggest you narrow your brush.
