Tony Northrup has some terrific YouTube videos. I like Mike Brown's as well, very down to earth and entertaining guy.

These tuts really helped me when I first got into photography. I like how they are organized -- Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert.

while not your typical tutorials, DigitalRev TV is full of useful information with a splash of humor.

Although individual tutorials are great, I do like the structured progression of a course. I don't know many times I've said "well if I had known A, B would have made more sense and been easier".

I will check this out.
Thanks

I like Mike Browne. He explains things in a very basic way, not so technical...

It is not free, but if you want a structured approach to learning a particular subject, I like linda.com a lot.

I comnit to $25 for a month, then cancel it the next day. 30 days later it quits. If you don't cancel it, it re-bills your credit card.

It would be a waste if you are looking for a single technique. But if, for example, you think you might want to learn and entire subject like Premier Elements, you can get it done in a few days, a week tops.

For free, every lynda.com course has free sample chapters. If you have one single goal, there is a free limited trial.

It all depends on what your time is worth and how fast you want to learn something. There are about 1000 courses!

I like CreativeLive. They run all-day lessons. The one on LR5 today runs for seven hours, and then it continues on Tues and Wed. You can buy the video downloads for $99 for a couple of days. Then it goes to $149

Great stuff!

I just learned that I just need a few tweeks to find great street shots:
1. a 10-20 zoom
2. an English accent and demeanor
3. someone filming me taking photos (for an explanation to the vendors, regulars.)
4. a 10-20 zoom

I've been in sales and the restaurant biz for the last 17 years and still have a significant fear of breaking out the camera in public and even at family functions. Total anxiety!
