Thanks. I'll give it a try.

EDIT: Interesting. I downloaded the latest file, and ran it. I got a message saying that I already had the latest software. When I ran it this time, it opened just fine. I'll play around with it today. Thanks for the help.

Glad it's working for you! I often run the data logger on trips even if I'm not taking photos along the way, as one of the tabs gives you a graph of your mileage and speed. Lots of fun toys beyond photo tagging. It also helped me beat a parking ticket a couple years ago.

I had stopped at an ATM in front of a grocery store a mile or so from my home that has been closed since about 2005, and the only reason anyone even goes into that parking lot now is to use the ATM or go to the coffee shop nearby. Now the curb is painted yellow and the driveway (which is about 30 feet wide) is painted "FIRE LANE NO PARKING" so it is pretty clear, but also a bit unnecessary. Well my son was driving my car and I just had him pull up to the curb while I jumped out to use the ATM.

Evidently one of our local LEO's was in the coffee shop and must have noted my license plate number, because a few days later I received a parking ticket in the mail. The only problem was that the time shown on the ticket was about 1:00 PM while the ATM receipt showed I was there at about 9:45.

About an hour after the ATM visit, I left for a 300 mile trip to go visit my dad and was over 100 miles from home at the time the officer listed on the ticket. I figured he wrote the ticket later in the day maybe just before getting off shift, rather than the actual time I was at the ATM. Anyway thanks to the time track and map I was able to print both and take them to court and show the judge that I was on the other side of the mountains when the officer alleges I was parked in a fire lane. The case was dismissed, which was good since the ticket was for $150! They are serious about fire lanes in this town since a 10mph over the limit speeding ticket is only about $100. :-) You never know having a GPS data logger could help beat a speeding ticket if you weren't really speeding.

There is only one draw back to these devices, when you're brain dead after a long day on the road, check into your motel too tired to deal with the download so you just plug in the laptop, and the dada logger to charge back up over night, then get up in the AM and clear the data for that days travel and you're already an hour down the road before it dawns on you that you didn't download the previous days logs before clearing the device! No waste basket like Windows, when it's gone it's gone!

Almost 500 photos were shot on Friday (many were 5 shot brackets for HDR work) over a 200 mile route and now no chance of geo-tagging them I was down right bummed!
