Hello Fellow-hoggers,
My daughter has a Nikon 3100 and is having a problem viewing the image on the screen on a bright, sunny day. She's looking at the (url attached) shade. Wondering if any of you have used it or have comments 'pro or con' concerning it, or recommend a better one instead. I wasn't too thrilled about the way it attached, but possibly that's how the majority of them do? Comments welcome.
She's looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/ENHANCE-Universal-Pop-Up-Protector-Digital/dp/B005MLAHYG/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1367418918&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=sun+visor+hood+for+D3100

I have the Delkin version on my Canon - works very well. Not sure about this one, but the Delkin clicks off when you don't want it leaving only the screen protecter in place. Click it back on again when the sun comes out.

Thanks OddJobber. I don't have much luck with the search feature on this site. I appreciate your reply, (and search:o)

Search can result in too much info. I just recently discovered that if you click on search then on "advanced search" and check "Sort to show most recent topics first", it helps if you have a particular post in mind.

Hello Fellow-hoggers, br My daughter has a Nikon 3... (show quote)

The price is good, and it should be easy enough to remove if she doesn't like it. I'd try folding a piece of paper into that shape just to see if having something like that would make a difference.

If she does get it, please let us know how she likes it.

Jerry, you must be 'tuned-in' on my frequency! I just completed spray-painting exactly that. :)

I have always had a Delkin on my P&S. It works like a charm, thin when closed and very rugged.

And the Delkin's screen protector I think is very thin glass. The stick-on is on the frame around the screen, not on the screen itself.
I have use the Delkin version on several P&S cameras over the years.
