Can anyone recommend a wide angle lens for the Canon EOS T3i I just purchased. I have a zoom but not a wide angle. I know there are many price ranges but maybe you could tell me what lens will give me the most bang for my buck. Thanks in advance.

Look at the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

Hi Teddy,
I think the answer to that is the Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 EX DC HSM.

I have the same camera
don't expect a great wide angle veiw from the T3i becouse its a croped sensor to begin with.
some examples to show you why your feild of veiw is going to be limited

You can also search the web like I did for
"wide angle lens for canon t3i" I found a site that has most all lens for our camera

Hi beercan31,
a 10mm lens on the T3i (of which there are quite a few genuine contenders) is the same field of view as 16mm on a full frame camera.
That is a very significant wide angle view and much more impressive than the 18mm full frame in your example. When you get to the wide end 2mm is a significant amount.

The EF-S 10-22mm is an EXCELLENT lens. I have one that I used on my Canon 50D. When I traded in the body for an EOS 7D, I kept the lens. If it wasn't built for the crop factor, it would have been billed as an EF-L. It's that good!

To everyone recommending the Canon 10-22mm - the OP requested a recommendation on "best bang for buck".
Given that the verdict is very much out on whether it is actually even any better than competition lenses that cost half as much, I definitely don't think it classifies as "best bang for buck".

Take a look at the Tamron 10-24 very good lens and not to expensive. Less than the Canon.

OP is looking for bang for the buck. Canon has the Bang - but also is on the high end regarding the bucks.

The Tammy lens at 10-24 might be a reasonable choice.

I have the Tokina 12-24 - the older version - on my crop Canon 7D (so will work the same on your T3i) and really like it.
It is a constant f/4 and is solidly built. The new version also gets good marks for value.
