photogrl57 thank you for telling me what you did. I just tried it in photoshop and voila' it worked. Awesome!
I've used levels before to brighten an image, but never used the eye droppers.
Thought you might like this better.
First I went to the image menu and adjusted the levels with the black and white eyedroppers.
Then in Topaz Adjust 4:
exposure correction with some noise suppression,
portrait smooth.
Then did a vignette.
Just goes to show ....most everything is fixable to an extent :)
original
not perfect but you can tell what it is
Geovanni: Thanks for sharing with us. You original photos look very nice, but it is even nicer to see the editing ability of some of our friends. I'm sure that I would not have enhanced exactly like some of those, but this whole thing is to open our eyes, and those enhancements are very creative. Best regards, jf
PS: I did not use red letters because you might think I had been tippin' the bottle a little with wide open red eyes.
#2 is my nominee for first place.
Thought I'd throw this in the mix

The way the weather is changing worldwide, don't be too surprised if AZ gets their share of snow.

I especially like #4, the one you're using for your Avatar.

About a dozen winters ago, I spent 11 hours sitting bumper to bumper in the hammer lane on I-40 just a couple miles east of the Flag. Even helped deliver a baby while we sat in the heavy snow! Of course, Flagstaff gets snow every year. Perhaps, you were thinking of Tucson. But, what a great photo opp! Even got to shoot my first elk. But, that was the next day after a good night's sleep at Little America. But, that was back in the
daze of film, and those snow pix, including my prize elk, are still in a stack of boxes waiting their turn at the scanner.
By the way, Indi, didn't you get any of that Halloween Snow over on Long Island? Talking about Trick or Treat, Muthur Nature had a good one this time for yose guys in the noreast. Well, she'll probably dump on us for T-Day. Out in the country there's no cable; just dish or antenna. And, those don't work much in inclement weather. So, would ya Tivo the FBall games for us heathens out here on the frontier. Best regards, jf
Great pictures, but my favorite is #3!

Thank you guys, it just ended up being a nice morning after that craziness and the lighting was ideal. :-)
