As an enthusiastic naturalist and outdoorsman, my life as well as my career has always revolved around hunting and fishing. At the same time, I have enjoyed feeding the birds, as well as admiring good bird art. So in 2013, at the age of 67, I walked into the digital age (albeit kicking and screaming), and have never looked back. In 2014, I bought my first quality camera, a Canon SX50. I discovered the vast and diverse avian wildlife that live and traverse through my own backyard and around southeastern CT. As a naturalist, with ‘slight’ OCD, which has served me well when I photographed everything; but I tend to focus on birds. I am self-taught and my goal is to continually improve my skills while enjoying the beautiful flora and fauna. You will find a few of my bird photos on Flickr if you are interested.
My new camera is a Canon 70D with a 28 to 135 kit lens also a 7D II with a 100 to 400mm IS II zoom lens.
