I enjoy his posts every day. I'm very interested in plants. (Flowers, shrubs, trees, etc.)
Bald Cypress and Dawn Redwood are two other deciduous conifers. There are many varieties of both. I grow both, as well as several varieties of Larch.
The bright red ones are called Crocosmia 'Lucifer'.
You had a good eye even back then!
I spent the winter of 63-64 in Skagway. That's the closest I've been to the Yukon in Canada.
I saw that plane also and wondered what it was doing. I live near Maple Valley, just a few miles from Snoqualmie Ridge.
Beautiful plane! Nice shots.
They are not Lilies. They are a plant called Crocosmia, old name Montbretia. There are a couple of Lily seedpods in the picture, but they have no relation to the blossoms shown.
I grow Crocosmia Lucifer which is a red variety.
Not Day Lilies. That's Crocosmia, sometimes called Montbretia. I grow them and a red variety called 'Lucifer'.
I enjoyed your pictures also.
Hardy Geranium makes a good groundcover here near Seattle also. I have several varieties that I don't know the name of. Some flower a lot more than others. Good lighting on your picture!
I liked your Fuschia too.

Where in the Olympics? I'm fairly familiar with the park. I used to do a lot of hiking there when I was younger.
I have read that Hoya carnosa blooms more often when rootbound. Plenty of light and on the dry side.
Make sure she's not carrying a gun or close enough to you to push you over the cliff.
I'm sure she has a sense of humor, otherwise you wouldn't be pranking her as often as you do.
Does she pull practical jokes on you? I'll bet she does.
I think some of the posters above are taking things too seriously. Have they never watched Candid Camera?
Have fun.
Your garden looks great! Looks real comfortable.
I see you're from Chile. I have a few plants from Chile in my garden. Gunnera and Araucaria auraucana.
