I found a happy medium and love it.
I bought a fastest laptop with great Graphic capabilities. Then I also bought a 32" sony LED 120hz with true black for my monitor. It works great because I can clibrate my monitor, and have a convenient of a laptop.
I loaded all basic for photo working. My 17 Quad Edition PC is my workhorse .
Hope this help

Yes, good software inceases the number of Ps, but just by interpolating them. The same technic ia deployed in some still camreas too. Real number of Ps are counted.

NEXs and Alpha 35, 55, 65, 77 are good. If you like a compact one, take Nexs. I didn't buy Nexs because I need a viewfinder of in case. The difference in this kind of Sony
is the lens quality. Good body cannot create good picx.

I found out that some local contest organizers intend to obtain best picx for free or at minimal prize. I stay away from contests for comercial products.
We have to read their rules etc to actually "SEE" of "smell"
the intentions of each contest.

MP issue is multifacets. The size of each Pixel, the number of Ps, and of course the size of the processor are main point. I would like to add one more idea into this issue: the OPTICAL versus EFFECTIVE number of Ps that printed on the cameras should be taken into consideration.
Effective Ps is interpolated . Most of the Camcorders listed
12 MP still picture, but actually the pics taken from camcorders are only 6 MPs.
The finer pixels and the number of Ps serve the quality of the enlargement. NO software can actually increases the number of REAL Ps for you.

This is not required any patent !!! Use camera trap, pull the trap forward using the back of your neck to stabilize the camera !! so you will have a neck tripod!! 2 pods at the two side od camera, 1 more pod is your hand (in this circumstance, when pulling the camera foward, your hand won't move as it should).
