Nice Spoonbill, March 15th is almost here...

I do all of my snaging in Ok. We need some Rain to get them going good, Bring the water up so they can make the run up river. And I am ready too.

We go either on Truman or Lake of the Ozarks, you're right need some rain to get the water moving

I'm only 15Min. From Grand Lake but the out of state cost me 55.00 plus another one for the wife. It would cost me less to fish on Tablerock lol.

2nd one looks washed out. If a pic of the moon is what you're looking for take #1 and crop it down to enlarge the moon. I shot this with a 18-270 zoom, fully extended, 250 ISO, 1/250s, f6.3, hand held.......

Is this what u mean?

What length setting on your lens? I am certain it was not at 300-mm full zoom. And zooms are notoriously soft compared to prime lenses.

Had it all the way 300mm f/5.6

Your second image is sharper, but looks under-exposed.

The biggest problem is that you are using too wide a lens.

On my monitor,
your moon measures 30-mm diameter = 30 x 30 = 900-sq.mm., and
your field of view (FOV) measures 150 x 240 = 36,000-sq.mm.

Your moon occupies only 36,000/900 = 1/40 = 2.5% of area in your photograph.

You should be using somewhere between 300-mm to 500-mm lens to fill FOV (height) with moon.
