Hi Paul - I will probably buy the lens from you, assuming you still have it, but would like to mull it over through the weekend. The 70-200/2.8L is certainly a beautiful lens!! Thanks!!

I am interested in this lense but curious as to why you are selling it. Have you used it at all? Purchased new? Any additional info you might have would be appreciated. I've read some pretty mixed reviews but figure it has to be a step up from my 55-250 kit lense. Thanks.

Do you know if it is compatible with more lenses than the Canon equivalent? I have a Canon 2X but too limited on some of the lenses I can use it. I'm thinking about getting one compatible with my 18-135... assuming such a creature exists... Just starting my search...

Thanks.

Canonman333 - my guess would be black bear... the photo of the entrance shows what appears to be possible bear scant in the center portion of the photo just above the logs. Only a guess, couldn't say for certain.

Here is what might seem a dumb question... what makes a 2x TC or any TC incompatible with the lenses? Is it just the autofocus, the mount, the IQ?? I've zero experience with TCs or lenses that are compatible with a TC and just curious.

I generally won't speak ill of a product but this is one I have to... I own a small business and computerized things two years ago. We are not power users by any stretch. The main computer had 2 Seagate internal drives that both crashed and died within the first 18mos. Likewise, we had 3 Seagate externals for daily and weekly backups. To date, 2 of the 3 also crashed and died... I've used computers extensively for many years now. All previously had WD drives. I have only ever had one crash and it was about 5 years old at that time. WD replaced it for a nominal fee. To replace so many drives in such a short time, I just don't believe is a fluke... I will never own another Seagate drive!!

Oh no, my Seagate external drive seems to have crashed taking years of work with it. My computers do not recognise it, it makes a whirring and clicking noise that it never did before and just will not open. It has not had a power surge as I always keep it unlpugged.
Any helpful suggestions PLEASE!

I'm looking for an inexpensive flash with a bit of diversity... I found an Altura Photo flash on Amazon that looks appealing for about $100. It only has 35 reviews and all are quite positive... I don't do a ton of flash photography but it would be nice to have the ability. Anyone have any thoughts, knowledge, etc. on this brand? Thanks.

As I see it, winterrose is a bit more than just full of himself... he finds amusement in judging others choice of what we/they consider art, criticize and correct others for their choice of words based on his chosen definitions, etc. but has some of the poorest spelling and grammar found on the forum. Its a small person of small mind who puts himself above others and fails to acknowledge his own faults and weaknesses. Peace out, I have better threads to follow and better things to waste my time on. I have my vision of what I consider art and won't criticize what others find to be art. The idea of the forum is to learn from each other and develop our skills as photographers and not judge and criticize others.

I think it's rather amusing to see people here and in other forums posting images which they consider as being "art". They start with a rather ordinary photograph of a rather ordinary subject then they try all sorts of preset "effects" prepared by other people until they come up with something pretty then because they "created" the resulting image, they call it "art". To my mind "art" is something which is manifested firstly in someone's mind and the "artist" must then have the personal ability to create that manifestation into a viewable form.
I think it's rather amusing to see people here and... (show quote)

I guess the appropriate response here is "art is in the eye of the beholder." I've seen far too many works of "art" appear in the Art museums and galleries, etc. that I would never consider them to be art but apparently someone did... In that vane, it is not my place to judge and criticize. I have my opinion of what I call art and what I don't call art. No doubt, there are those who would disagree with what I consider art. That doesn't make either one of us wrong. Regardless, the method of creating the "art" is also up to the artist. Some choose to splatter paint on a sheet and call it art. Some choose to weld scrap metal and trash into sculptures and call it art. I chose not to "admire" what I don't consider art for me. I don't go on a public rant to criticize the effort of others.

Me to, but the wife is a whole different story. Lets see, new camera and lens $6,000. Divorce lawyer $2000. Hmmmmmmm

After completing my divorce, I wish I would have gotten away with only $2000... Let's just say that for what my divorce cost me, I would have purchased an entire, well stocked photogrpahy suite and still have spare change... and that is no exaggeration!!!

I would be curious as to what people are thinking in terms of the 70D that is coming out soon... Sorry, I know it doesn't help with selling your 7D... just a point of curiosity...

Please forgive my ignorance but... I assume this is the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM? I have the kit lenses that came with my T2i (18-55 and 55-250) and I realize there are short-comings with those two lenses. What advantage would the 28-135 give me? I am interested but just not sure I'm gaining anything. How old is this lens?

Thanks.
