Would depend on how much time you have of course, but think of the distances to travel once you get 'downunder'. Australia is big, east coast to west coast, is almost the same distance as the USA, so plan your Oz itinerary carefully so you see what you want to see. NZ is really just a group of 2 bigish islands (and 1 small but very pretty one) in comparison. 26 million Aussies and about 5 million NZers.
So you can land in the North Island, Auckland, and spend as many days as you want, or as few, on, say a bus trip, traveling south and seeing the highlights. Look at tour itineraries and work out where you want to go then rather than doing an organised tour, you could just get on and off local type buses and pay as you go. You will always get a hotel or motel booking during our winter, somewhere pretty convenient (unless there is an event or a big name pop group touring, or a big rugby game on in the same city ).

I watched a video about traveling alone vs on a tour...alone, room prices are always going to be more because you have to pay for a double room by yourself, you eat alone, and get funny looks about why you don't have any friends or family with you, but you go where you want when you want. Sometimes (most?) tours get lower prices at different sites because they have a bunch of people traveling togetherI went to a presentation at a now-defunct photography club, This teacher and her husband spent 9 months planning a 3-week solo trip to India..quite a bit of work. An ETA visa will allow up to a 90-day stay in one visit and is good for a year...I wouldn't go more than once in a year!! I'm also thinking of going somewhere my tours were cancelled for whatever reason (COVID for 2 of them )

Neat :) Australia/NZ are on my bucket list, but I probably can't afford to do both at once unless it would make a zillion percent more sense to do them together. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do either of them on a standard tour for my birthday because none I've found run in June, where it's Winter there. Actually, I JUST looked. Go Ahead Tours/EF have tours in June for about $7k plus optional extension Never used them, but almost did a year or two ago. I wonder how hard it would be to just go by myself and do stuff. I'd probably have to plan for months, but it might be cheaper.

It would appear that they have adhered a metal frame piece to the back. You can use inserts for metal frames to put a wire on it for hanging. If you don't have any, ask at Michael's or Hobby Lobby and they'll probably give you some.

The print came with an envelope containing 2 screws, 2 drywall anchors and 1 metal piece with a 90-degree joggle on one end. It seems that you hang the print on the metal piece and free-floating, kind of like a French cleat (in fact, I just Googled it and I think that's exactly what it is, except that it's a single bracket that the frame goes into...the frame IS the 2nd bracket.

I just got my print tonight. I wrote to Printeque asking about how to mount is because it only included an envelope of parts but no instructions - I can guess, but I'd rather be sure...but Printeque is closed for the next week over the Passover holiday :( I was impressed with the packaging...print was in a plastic bag and there were about 8 or 10 pieces of styrofoam around it on all sided. Here's the finished product.

You are not. Im addition to short wave stations, ham radio and satellite/space communications, I regularly listen to NPR. Radio is magic - a window to the world.

Locally the NPR station (KWMU) is one of my presets on my car stereo and I listen to it at home, too. depending on my mood, I listen to either one of the digital channels, HDR 1 (normal), HDR 2 (jazz) and HDR 3 (classical). I grew up in the Chicago suburbs. The PBS station there was WTTW channel 11, the "Window to the World" :) on cable we get channel 9 (St. Louis) and, from where I went to college at SIUC, channel 8 - I'm was a saluki for two years while I got a degree that hadn't been very, um, useful. I have a BS in Aviation Management and am currently a monitor on a special-needs school bus making the equivalent of minimum wage, with ~6.2 years until retirement.

Let me suggest the Radio Garden ap (free) for simple to navigate thousands of streaming stations all over the world. Just pick a location from the world map, and a list of statins and the type of music appears, then just click on your selection to listen in real time. I’m finding that music from areas where European and Middle Eastern music intersect, such as Turkey, are interesting.

That's exactly what the Denon Tune-In app does. It's just on the home stereo/TV screen vs. a phone. I hardly ever listen to music or podcasts on my phone, although do occasionally listen to something on the XM app since I have it in the car.

Some radio stations have shows where they spin Vinyl. I guess I may be the only one on the Hog that listens to Radio.

I listen to the radio on a daily basis. My personal favorites are a jazz station broadcast by a local university and NPR, who had 3 hybrid digital stations, the "normal" one, a jazz station and a classical station. I sometimes listen to other stations through my Denon receiver "Tune-in" app. you can search by type of music or location - some stations overseas are broadcast in English and some in the native language...Greece is fun to listen to, or Hawai'i.

After my more-or-less ancient Technics SL-5 linear-tracking automatic turntable died last year, I was forced to get a new one. I bought a Rega P2 with upgraded microline stylus for about $1,100. Add another $500 for a phono preamp and my original budget was blown out of the water. It's my first fully manual turntable and I don't plan on upgrading it for a long time! Besides, I'm happy with it. The dealer I went to has turntables and electronics rise into the 5 figures. The wheel looks like something Bang and Olufsen would have made.

I've only had one pic printed on metal (Blue Angels diamond 4 formation) and it was done by Bay Photo. The finished product was very nice, but it took 4 tries to get it right using the floating frame, between where you could see the spot welds or whatever they used to attach the mount to the carrier dropping the print on a corner and bending it. My 2nd attempt (golden Gate Bridge) is currently enroute from NYC (Printeque, formerly AdoramaPix). I'm having it done on a 30x7 piece of aluminum - white background, which was, oddly enough, a standard choice. I should get it on the 24th. Good luck with your pic. I'll upload my bridge pic if you like. I shot it (in-camera pano) from Alcatraz on what was one of the few nice days during Spring Break a few weeks ago. I like the detail in the feathers :) Personally, my favorite kind of bird has either a prop or an afterburner, LOL

I just ordered a 7x30 metal print on white with a wall float frame (or whatever they called it) from Printeque. They had a 20% off coupon code, but the shipping almost twice the discount! I should get it, theoretically, on the 24th. I tried using my Adorama card to pay but it was declined. Are they no longer affiliated with Adorama?? Total with print, discount, tax and shipping was $82.41. I guess that's not bad for a custom piece of artwork. I hope it turns out to be a better experience than I had with Bay Photo (four attempts to get it right, between manufacturing issues and the shipper dropping one version on a corner and bending it!!

I'm not coming to Florida in the foreseeable future. I managed, temporarily, to get my 18" x 3" photo printed out at home, but I had to reinstall the software due to getting a different computer in the meantime. I hadn't printed anything in months. The print is relatively tiny, but looks nice. There's a print/sign shop a few miles from work. I'll check with them to see what they have available...could never get my pic divided into 3 sections, which is a bit frustrating. I don't need a 10-foot long picture of a bridge.

After a bunch of searching I found an article about making a triptych out of a single pic in Photoshop...got to Step 2 and couldn't go any further...I have PSE so I don't have the correct menu options to create a grid on the pic and split it :( No print shop I've chatted with said they can do it...I have to break up the pic myself and send the individual files. I thought print shops had people who could run simple print editing programs, but I guess I'm wrong. I don't really want to pay $20/mo or whatever it is for constant updates for a whole suite of editing programs if I don't know how many times I'll use them. Not sure if I want t single 5' long x 10" print. that would be awkward to handle.

I have used Artmill in Chicago several times. Their quality is outstanding and their turnaround is excellent. I recently had an 11" X 41" ready-to-hang print of a nighttime NYC pano done and I was very happy with the quality.

Neat pic. I've never been to NYC, but would like to go.

Most of the larger print shops have roll paper printers that print up to 42" by 100'. The paper types are more limited than for sheet paper though.
I have one pano that I printed as six adjacent 30" by 42" prints, displayed next to one another on two walls (90º corner), to excellent effect and more easily handled than a single 13' wide print.

That's a bit much for me, I think :) Sounds cool, though. You must live in a mansion!
