All...anyone have experience with and an opinion on the Nikon Coolpix W300 (underwater/rugged camera)? When I don't want to lug around my DSLR, I try to always have a point and shoot with me that can handle any kind environment. For years I have been using a Canon Powershot D10 and it has served me well at the beach, in the rain, on the boat, and in the water. As best as I can tell, Canon apparently stopped making their underwater/all weather point and shoots. While the D10 continues to works well, it is a bit bulky and it is time for an upgrade. I would appreciate any opinions on the Nikon W300. Thanks so much.

I have been reading the UHH posts for quite some time and I find them to be both informative and sometimes entertaining. So I finally decided to no longer sit on the sidelines and join the actual party. I have been an avid (somewhat advanced) amateur for quite some time who began in film with a Konica years back, moved up to Canon and then when I finally went digital I became a Nikon guy. Have been a Nikon person for the past decade+. Started with D200 then D800 after the D200 got stolen in a sketchy area of South America. Have a D7000 as everyday camera and I just took delivery of a new D850. Very excited about that. Looking forward to joining the forum!
