Hello to all, On Monday evening at about 10 pm I happen to look out my third story sliding glass window and see a small blazing fire on the property. The fire is inside an open top concrete storage area that contains an electrical mains panel. The electrical panel was saved. there is also some apt. stuff stored in this same area on fire. I called the fire dept. as soon as I noticed this blazing fire.
I grab my camera and shot 14 pictures including some of the fire truck at the end. Now here's what I'd like to know.
The next day my apt. manager comes to me asking to see the pictures of the fire. I show them to her. they are still on my camera at this point. She then asks me if I would then put them on my laptop and send the pictures to her boss. You should know that my apt. is in a complex of low income County housing apartments. I resize a few pictures and send them off to her boss on Tues. I was asked by my apt manager to see if I could load them on to some kind of storage device and have it ready for her to pick up later this week. Here's what I would like to know. Having shared my pics and having more to give to my apt. manager, Am I entitiled some kind of compensation? I feel that I am entitiled to something. What's fair market value of such pics. Or should I inform her that I have had dialogue with a lawyer and have been told that the pics are indeed worth $xxxx. Having given a few away already, is this deal already gone down the tubes? I took these pics without any thoughts of receiving any compensation. But, I have slept on it. and am wondering what are my options. thanks so very much, Randy H

Hello, Ok, I didn't know it was lens flare. I just thought that it was a piece of the sun. I liked it and shot a couple of them. I thought the wall and light and alley were the focal point! Well, I didn't know any difference. I have been a lurker for some time. I really enjoy looking at all of the pics.
I'm trying to develope my creative style. Heck, What do I know. I'm open to shooting just about anything that strikes my eye! Thanks for the critique! Being gentle with the newbies helps to keep them here! Randyh :)

Ok,a crooked shade. That's a start. Anything else? I worked very hard even though it may not look it. A new camera,Getting pics from here to there, working to be creative. I'm just a beginner with this new LX7. I'll certainly pay closer attension to my composition the next time.
At least you didn't throw the computer at me! Thank you very much! I will try harder. Thanks, Randyh :)

Thanks to all who offered help to me.
1. I have downloaded the codec file from windows.
2. I have downloaded the camera cd software Silky pics (raw) software.
3.I Have downloaded the manual.I got a copy from Panasonic before my camera arrived to me. I have downloaded the same files from the included software.
4.As you can tell, I'm really not all that pc literate ( I'm not affraid to ask questions) that's how we all learn!
5. I have deleted all of those pics. I have formatted the camera by itself and with the cards.
6.I will take some more of the pics I took earlier and try to install using the camera connection cable. The insight as to using the cable vs the card reader does make sense to me to prolong the card life.
7.I bought this camera on or about Dec. 20th or so. It reached me Xmas eve! Wooho!
8. This is my first really decent camera I've owned I have had my hands around a few others but got buyers remorse or It just didn't (fit) me. So, I really don't have any feed back to offer at this point. I feel that this camera will be with me for a while. There is a lx7 book being written by Alexander White. He has written books on many other cameras and all seem to be well liked. I believe that it is written as a how to use this camera type book. My last contact with him is it was in the final edit. I'll buy this book as soon as it becomes available. (Amazon).
9. I'm sorry that my camera and pc skills are not close to being on par with everyone else. I'm doing the best I can with my current skill set! (I'm not afraid to ask questions)!
10. Thank you one and all. I'll take all of the tips and tricks offered and apply them. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the UHH family. It means very much to me!
11. I do have anti-virus software, Webroot, And Malwarebytes, They both work very well. I do clean-ups every month.
Thanks for all the help! Randyh :)

Thanks for the help. I'll dig up the cd that came with my camera and install it. It sounds like the files were there, I just didn't have or know how to make the connection to read and download.I have downloaded the codec file offered.
Ok, I'll do these things later in the day,as I'm very tired at this moment and going to bed. Thanks for your time and help. I kinda thought that it wouldn't be all that difficult to figure out. Thanks again, Randyh :-)
