Now this bird I can name - Thanksgiving delight !
Thank You Everyone for your help.
Monument Rocks - western Kansas down dirt roads but worth the trip.
These cranes come to this area every spring to have their chicks , then they leave when the chicks are old enough. Does anyone know their name?
The auction is on-line and they do shipping.
One of the local auction houses here in Pueblo, Colorado will be having a auction this Thursday. Anyway scattered throughout the auction is groups of old cameras. If your interested , take a peek.

Birds - must be lots of different birds
Every so often I back up photos with a Flash Drive .
I have used these little pry tools. They kinda look like dental tools - one is a straight pick, then a curved pick and the third one is a square angle pick. from Harbor freight. But they should be able to get into the battery compartment and assist you in removing the battery without destroying everything.
Could you use an electrical outlet at that location - a double plug. I think it would or could be easy to run wiring through the vent tubing. But only you know the headaches of your home wiring ? just a thought

Love the truck pictures...but did you do anything you can show us -- like a close-up -- of the far left side of
photo #2?
Sorry I didn't. If I had seen anyone around I would have asked. But with all of the "No Trespassing " signs I just shot from the car. It is not very far from my house so I hope to get back up there. And it is a very short trip from Guffey to Cripple Creek.
More from Guffey. Guffey sits where you can see the west side of Pikes Peak and you can see the Sangre De Cristo Mountain Range
I have always known where Guffey was , just didn't know I needed to go.
Back in 76 , I was urged to buy a very good set of pots and pans that will last a life time. I was urged to buy Rena Ware, which I did. Still have them today . Handles have been replaced a few times , but I just call and they mail them to me , free , but I pay shipping.
