Used the Sigma 150-600 Sport. Found it very sharp for the price, worked well with the D-500 and D-850. The sport is heavy though, just traded it in on the Sony 600 f4, feels lighter than the Sigma 😳
My old Nikon F had a screw on larger “soft touch” button for the shutter release. I loved it, wish they made something similar today. I have problems when the temp goes below freezing
There is a free Google app called “Hangouts” that works really well. We have been using it for family game nights. You can download the app for smart phones and tablets or use a browser on a computer.
Weight is starting to become an issue with me also (72) I used the Sigma Sport 150-600 for a couple years and was lucky enough to get the Nikon 500PF to replace it. The image quality is superior and it feels lighter than my 70-200 2.8. Miss the versatility of the zoom but was usually at the far end of the 150-600 anyway.
The sensor at a fairly high ISO, open for 10-15 seconds, sees much more than your eye. I could see where the Milky Way was located when taking this shot but it didn’t look nearly this detailed to the naked eye. Proper post processing is an important element also. Have fun with it.
Yes the black cable is the data connection, you need a separate one from the new drive to the MB. The power cable P-3, P-4 can power more than one drive so you can use the same cable to connect to two drives.
I travel with my D-850 and several lenses, usually one large telephoto a dozen times a year. As long as your bag meets the 22 inch carry on limit, no problem. If you join TSA Pre check you will not have to take large electronics out of your carry on bag.
ANSCO merged with AGFA in 1928. The US government took over ANSCO at the beginning of WWII. I grew up with those cans as my dad worked in film production for nearly 50 years at ANSCO. Great history of the company in the advertising for these new lofts in an old ANSCO factory building.
I was on the river the week before Christmas and going again on the 8th. More eagles feeding on the river during rainy weather. They tend to feed early and go soaring more during the infrequent sunny days. Best photo opportunities IMO is on snowy days, but it’s been much too warm for snow in the valley,
