Also consider whatever camera you choose will have a learning curve so maybe pick a mirrorless body to go with whatever your current camera is I assume Nikon.

Go after the kids are gone but before the staff leaves. 3-6pm just say you are needing some stock photos for school buildings. Assure them you won’t have any kids or staff in the pics and I’ll bet they’ll be fine with it. My wife works in the school system and they have upped the security this year but remember it’s your taxes that pay for the building and all their jobs so….

I got the viltrox 85mm 1.8 for my Fuji cameras and love it. Stays on the camera most of the time. Quality is amazing for the price point. Feels almost as solid as my Voigtlander I have for Nikon.

Look at the wimberly side kick. It’s a gimbal that attaches to a ball head. I use mine with a d810 and a 200-500 and it works very well. Got mine on eBay used.

Peak design slide strap crossbody. Most comfortable way I’ve found. Tried cotton carrier, it’s ok just can’t stand to look that geeky! I use the peak in the tripod lug and one of the strap mounts. I have the peak design clutch on the right side of camera that hook to the other strap mount and the other side of the camera strap mount so even if the tripod lug doesn’t hold (it’s never got even a little loose that’s just something people warn against even though the tripod lug is made to hold the camera) it connects to both sides of camera strap connectors. The way it tilts the camera it fits right at my hip and stays there for hiking and walking and the camera is ready to grab and take pictures very quickly. I also tried a black rapid style strap but it only connects to the tripod lug and the camera just flops around didn’t like it at all. Got my strap and clutch off eBay used.

The wimberley will handle it as long as your monopod can. And watch the Steve perry video. That guy is good. He should teach classes and write books! Lol

On the “actually see” idea I agree that pp brings what is on my screen to what I saw in my mind. The eyes and mind are what we see the image with whether it’s in the actual moment or after with a pic. Making them match as closely as possible is a good thing!

I got a cotton carrier early on the one that hooks to backpack strap. I hated it. I’m on the fluffy side of life and it just sticks out to far off the strap. I switched to the peak design slide strap. It hooks to one of the strap anchors and the tripod mount. I wear it cross body and it sits wonderfully stable even when hiking right at my hip. I got the belt holder that it snaps into but have really never needed it. I did get their hand clinch too which acts as a backup connect point for those worried about the tripod mount. But it’s never came loose at all.

Should work great. I have this lens and it is one of my favs. It is a heavy beast so monopod or tripod is a good idea. I got mine from lensauthority.com they don’t always have stock but they will notify you when they get them in. One of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with. Really amazing service! A good way to save a little money imo

I find it funny all the electric cars with batteries charged using coal fired electric plants. Also the term “green energy” is ridiculous coal is a rock that burns and makes heat. Oil comes from the earth. They are both natural energy. Plastic too comes from the earth. It’s not like we are importing it from space and even if we were it would still be natural.

Have you considered the x-s10? A lot of the same features of the xt4 at half the price. Leaves more money for glass. I have the xe1 and xt10 currently and love them both. I had considered the xt3 or 4 for my next Fuji but IMO the sx10 is the better choice. At least for me.

Love my peak design slide strap. I wear mine cross body nestled right against my side when not in use. They have a belt holder that the mount on the bottom of the camera will hook to but it doesn’t move around at all with just the strap in my experience. I ran a length of para cord from the camera anchor to the strap as a back up in case the tri pod mount ever came out but in never has. Easily and comfortably support my d810 with grip and a 80-200 2.8 and the weight is well distributed. Peak Design is a little too tree huggy for my taste but they make good stuff. The plate on the tripod mount is also arca Swiss compatible.
