Good luck! What will you do with the d500 and lenses?
Awesome! Congrats! Hope you are able to take advantage an capture some amazing photos. I'm sure it'll make the previous owner pleased. GRHS
Thanks folks for your advice and input. I'll definitely check out Steve Perry's book.
As you might have guessed, I own a Nikon d7100. Lol. I use my camera primarily for various outdoor activities. I often find myself in low light conditions where I need to push the ISO higher. Based upon readers experiences, what is the highest ISO one can use on the d7100 without significant noise or picture degradation?
Thanks
Great shot. Love the backlighting
Is there a "best" time if the year to visit? I don't like crowds and the "touristy" spots.
I have the d7100 and have really enjoyed using it. It's sharp, fast, and light. Great value! I use it only in certain situations. My photography is primarily landscape.
I didn't bother to watch the video based upon what's been said but the article in the Atlantic was excellent!
I've read several online comparisons but thought I'd ask UHH folks- has anyone seen a difference in optic quality between the older AF-S VR FX version and the newer AF-P VR version. I know the P focuses faster and quieter and weighs a bit less.
Having grandkids is like falling in love again. Merry Christmas Annabelle and everyone else!
I'm interested in the 70-300. I have the older FX VR model. Does this have VR? How has your experience with this lens been? I like the lighter weight and faster focusing.

As always, I am very grateful for the wealth of experience and sage advice from fellow Hoggers! I've read every response and have lots of good info. I do live near District Photo and will take my tripod there as well.
