Thanks JayRay- appreciate the detailed feedback. Very helpful as even though the 500 has a tripod collar it's not too heavy but good to know for connecting purposes. The body probably weighs more than the lens with the batt grip attached. Will check it out!

Most comfortable and diverse shoulder camera sling recommendations

It's been awhile (2014) since someone posted questions about this and am looking for a well padded & solid attaching shoulder sling for my D850 & 500 pf5.6 & TC1.4 combo.

Anyone w/recent (last couple years) experience that has some recommendations and tips using them are greatly appreciated. This will primarily be used on several mile hikes for wildlife photography.

Search You Tube for video reviews of this lens as a wildlife lens. Steve Perry in particular is a well known professional reviewer who produces quality in depth reviews. There are several others out there as well
