My wife, Two youngest boys and I went on a road trip to KC and St. Louis last month. We stayed in Pontoon Beach Illinois, where KMOX is located after a Friday night Cardinals game. I took my Nikon D3400 up to the top of the Arch and also on the riverboat cruise on the Mississippi, you can buy those as a bundle and save a couple dollars.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Cave of the Winds. Also, if history is your thing, go about 90 minutes EAST of Pueblo on highway 50 to LaJunta where you will find Bents Old Fort. There is also a former interment camp and dinosaur tracks in that area as well.
You can go to hanging lake off of I-70 in Glenwood Canyon about a Three hour drive West of Denver. You could also go to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, about an hour south of Denver, the Air Force Academy is there also. If you want to go further south than that, the Great Sand Dunes are in Alamosa. If you're into American History, Bents Old Fort is in La Junta, there is also a Japanese internment camps in that same general area as the fort.
I've never had any issues at Best Buy. Target on the other hand, don't get me started. When I purchased my Nikon D3400 they did a $70 price match. When I bought my 55-300mm zoom lens they did a price match of $175, both with online retailers I had to wait a couple days for it to be shipped but to get a $400 lens for $225 and free two day shipping, I couldn't pass it up.
My experience with anything beyond taking pictures is minimal at best. It usually ends when I transfer them to my computer. I rarely if ever edit them, or share them.
It is photos of the exterior of the house that I want to make landscaping changes to that I need permission for.
I'm a rookie with this camera and thought raw might be smaller size
Thanks Marion. How would I do that? I have windows 10 and a Nikon D3400
What's the best format to use when emailing multiple pictures to someone? If I use a jpeg format I can only do Two at the most in a single email. If I use a RAW format, I have to use something like One Drive which takes forever to upload to send. I don't want to send so many emails it feels like they are getting spammed. The latest round I'm referring to is sending pictures of our house to our landlord.
My in laws gave my wife and I a Nikon N65 35mm SLR camera almost 15 years ago as a wedding gift. I haven't used the thing in probably Ten years. My issue is this, is has never batteries, turns on and everything but the shutter doesn't work. I can push the button all the way down and nothing happens. It wouldn't be a big deal except that I still have half a roll of unexposed film in there. Any ideas how to get it to work? I just want to waste the film and get the pictures that are on it developed if that is still possible because I do not know if the film would be able to be developed.
This is my First post here. I'm using a Nikon D3400 that I bought earlier this year, and a Nikkor 70-300mm lens from my old N65 that I have to manually focus but am working on getting a 55-300mm Nikon lens. My only real photography "training" was in high school 20+ years ago.
