It's always crowded, but the worst crowds are from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Suggest you wait for October for the foliage. Include NE Harbor in your plans, it's very pretty and not drowning in Tshirt and fudge stores. Good luck!

Food at the Half Shell Raw Bar is/was great when I was there -- really good key lime pie. Sunsets are amazing. Have a great time!

My Lumix G85 will do GPS logging when connected to IPhone and or IPad wifi with Panasonic's Image App. Also believe it works with Android.

Got Adobe Support involved. The technician went in LR "Preferences," "Performance" and purged the Cache under RAW settings. Subsequent import went smoothly. Thanks to all for your help.

Using Lightroom Classic v 7.2 (just installed) File=16MBx202 represents the number of RAW files to download from SD card. Earlier version of Lightroom crashed twice attempting to download files. Upgraded to new version (7.2) of LR and import worked but it was very slow. I am downloading to local drive, only use cloud for backup. Can't seem to get any useful info from Adobe and can't seem to find a telephone support number.

I just updated to LR version 7.2. That worked, but it was very slow doing the import.

Sorry, IMac, OS 10.13.3, prior freestanding LR 7.2, File=16MB x 202, Chrome & Safari running in background. Haven't cleared cache. Thanks for your help.

Just got a G85 and uploaded RAW test shots to LR Classic. Upload was very slow and cranky - took three attempts, and LR crashed twice. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of solution?

For the best overall view of Rome, go up to the Janiculum. Suggest taking the bus up there and back, it's a over a mile up there. Although you're still in the city, there's not much traffic up there but you can call a cab.

Rome is a big city so you'll have to go fairly far to get to rural areas but it does have great public transportation. A one week bus/subway/tram pass costs about $20. It's a real bargain and goes almost everywhere. Beware of Gypsies! Especially near the Forum and the Colosseum. I agree that "no line" tours of the Vatican are usually worth it, both for the easy access and the knowledgeable guides. Otherwise, get ready for a wait.

Restaurants are less expensive outside the tourist "heart" of Rome and readily accessible via TripAdvisor or Yelp. Consider a side trip to Ancient Ostia. It's the former seaport of Rome and was abandoned when it silted up and had a plague. It's an entire city within commuting distance of Rome (if you get the Metro pass, it's covered.) If you go try to bring your own food as there is only a cafeteria in Ancient Ostia and it's awful. You can walk into modern Ostia but it's a good walk.

Have fun!

Thanks. I am aware of the dropbox solution but was looking to transfer the images directly to my remote image drive on my Mac.

I would like to send my travel photos via wifi back to my Mac in the US. I have an Ipad and a card reader for the Ipad. How do I transfer my RAW images back to my home system as a backup to my SD card?
