While I was at Farmington Bay WMA, a group of American White pelicans in the back area below the GBH condos caught my eye and I took their photo. I then saw one of them lift off and fly directly at me. I hit the "hot" setting on my A9 and the Sony 100-400mm lens with 1.4 tc did the rest. Out of the almost 40 photos, I indulged myself with posting the various angles and wing positions, unlike the usual "butt bird" shots I produce.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Other than "View from Cemmaes" (Mid Wales), I am stumped for a subject title to identify the attached pic. I have other "View froms". This one f16, 53mm, 1/400, ISO1000. PP'd with Affinity's Haze Filter and Unsharp Mask. Part of "getting to know my RX10ii" - I think still unbeatable for a short range fixed lens camera.

Old and used many times,"A river runs through it". Will done.

I took the dog out for a walk this morning and discovered that spring had arrived in all of the front flower beds. These shots were taken in a high wind with a fast shutter speed. Most did not work out, but the attached set shows that more shots of our flowers are in the future.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Nicely done Mike.

Nice catch Bill. I lived in North S. Louis for awhile and never saw this place. I worked at Wagner electric, transformer shop for awhile right out of high school.

He knows he can't display prints. Only a digital copy. I did not read the post that he really wants to display prints. I took it as just a figure of speech.

This set follows the description of my camera club's visit to a modern junk yard in my last post. After reviewing the shots, I realized that the photos are completely different than my past efforts. I had assembled a series of still life shots that told or provoked a story.

With your indulgence, over the next few posts I will share some of these photos and my impressions.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Another good set Mike.
