Good timing to get this beauty showing off. Clean and crisp with a nice neutral background.

It was mid-day on New Year's Eve in Seattle in 2017. My girlfriend and I decided to go for a walk downtown. It was a truly glorious winter day with mild temperatures and lots of sun. New skyscrapers constructed for the Amazon Company had recently been opened and the sun was hitting these buildings in such a way that they practically glowed. These are a few of my shots of those new buildings on what was a very special afternoon on the last day of 2017. The only alterations I have made to these images other than standard RAW processing is to flip the shots either 90 or 180 degrees. I would be interested in your thoughts regarding these images.

Super work Veronica. The lighted orbs look to me like they are floating above with the rest of the image under water. Could they be donuts? I don't think so. They have no holes. But I really like this image.

I honestly don't know if my cameras have that capability Linda but I think it created an interesting effect. Number three would also be my pick for a favorite.

Great opportunity and results. I've always wanted to do that but the opportunity eludes me.

Interesting owl up close and personal. Nice work with the white feathers. I think it might look nice with a sunset background.

Thanks everyone! My friend just made these for me for fun. I donโ€™t generally do watermarks but he gave me a version of each that can be used as one. I wonโ€™t ask for changes since he did these for free an I would not ask for changes. Iโ€™m sure he would do it, butโ€ฆ. I just wanted to share and see what others liked!! I may use all 4 at different times.

I like #1 if the intent is to use it as a header on your personal web site. In my opinion, they are all too busy and distracting to be used on a photo. I dislike watermarks on photos as a general rule. However, if you must use one, make it small and out of the way so it does not distract from the actual image you are presenting. Just my opinion. Clearly, many others feel differently.

These are superb. I particularly like the pair of Mergansers. They are both amazingly sharp for a side by side shot.

Could be a foggy day at sunrise. I don't find the image at all foreboding. Perhaps "mysterious" is a word I might use to describe this scene. I like it Linda. The barn has a fabulous shape. If it was mine, I would consider eliminating the two power poles (or maybe just the pole on the left).

Don't think this qualifies as photography but it definitely is art. Nicely done. I can imagine the hours of tinkering and retinkering to get it where you wanted it. Kudos!

Thank you Reuss. I had to redraw the front of the locomotive several times to get it close to "right".

What is not to love about your Art-Deco works... You have the composition to a T... well done saxman71

I covered the visual of the flowers and leaves, your adding them was a masterful stroke. The dark mat gray carpet is also a needed contrast with opposing side brightness.

Thanks Don. I thought some of the vacant space needed items of interest. Thus the leaves and the flowers. I tried a couple other things besides the flower pots (a couple statues for example). They didn't make the grade. But I'm still not real crazy about the flower pots.

I think this is a lovely abstract and if there is a dog somewhere in there so much the better.
