It seems like you like your subject in the center. Are you familiar with the rule of thirds?
#4 is my favorite as well. #2 is actually a tree on my property, although the wrong season now, will look into your advise in the future. If I am thinking of the same thing for rule of thirds, 1/3 in front, 2/3 behind. This is something I have since learned.
