Spend a little less money, get a Z5 and use the “savings” to buy a Z lens.
White Mountain. Very high quality.
I have made 60 or 70 books with Snapfish. Quite satisfied though I always shake my head at the crazy pricing scheme with insane numbers always offset by sales of 50% to 70%. From
the research I have done there seem to be almost a half dozen good options for who to use. I stick with Snapfish because I have learned to be comfortable with the software.
This is an excellent comment and I hesitate to tell someone else what to do when the options are so personal. Almost two years ago I moved from the 7200 to the Z5. I wanted to move from DX to FX. The Z5 gave me everything I thought I needed and instead of spending more on the body I have invested in three S quality lenses. Very happy with my choices. Whether that would be the right choice for this poster is not for me to say.
I had occasion about two weeks ago to use Live Chat. Answered promptly and problem addressed.
Good advice. I used the kit 24-200 almost exclusively for the first 8-10 months before adding some S quality Z lenses.
A little more than a year ago I moved from the 7200 to a Z5 and am quite pleased with it. However, I think this is only a good idea if you plan on using a Z lens. I started with the kit lens and have now added. Using a DX lens on the Z5 “works” but I cannot see it making you happy.

I gave my d5100 to one and another gets to use my d7200 on occasion —- but they also use phones. I want they to understand the basics. They both seem to have an eye for composition.
I would guess I am not the first to ask this.
I would like a basic beginner book for 13-15 year old grandchildren so they can have some understanding of the fundamentals.
Recommendations??? Many thanks in advance.
Why would you tell him it is ridiculous? Even Microsoft has acknowledged problems with this update and there are people recommending to wait before installing it. Not trying to start an argument but you were being unkind (and wrong).
Update for all. It was nice blaming Windows given the timing, but it appears the problem was that the USB cord went kaput.
Thanks to all. Will try some of these ideas.
