Wow! Really nice work!

It's inspiring that you took these hand held, even though they were shot 1/500. I'm still learning, so can I assume your auto bracket was +2,0,-2 and that you had your priority set on ISO 800 so that the speed changed during the bracketing?

The detail shows no ghosting on my monitor, so the "no wind day" was necessary, but still really excellent for hand held! Pardon my ignorance, but I figure your wide angle lens must be a large part of the clear detail in the result.

Thanks for sharing the details of the shot; very, very helpful. Especially that it's ISO 800, with very little noise considering everything.

Makes me want to try some new things on my next sunset shoot.
Thanks again, Kristoes

These were taken at the Self Realization Fellowship (SRF) garden in Encinitas CA on one of those rare days when there was no wind. All were 3 exposures handheld and PP in Photomatix Pro. Canon 60D, 11-18 MM Tamron lens, ISO 800, middle exp 1/500, f11

This is one of a number of shots I will post of the Singapore skyline. Its a handheld bracket of 3 (-2.0.+2). It was processed twice in Photomatix to produce two different versions. The first gave me some nice lift for the building and structures but left a halo around the top of the tall background building. The second processing was a little more conservative to produce a halo free and relatively noise free sky. The two pics were the taken into P.S. A layer mask was applied and the conservative sky masked onto the the building of the other pic. The resultant merge was denoised, straightened, cropped and a little boost given to the large and medium details using Topaz detail 3. A little tweak of brightness and contrast and a very small touch of unsharp mask to give the final result. Hope you like it. Peter

All comments welcome.
