The place to pose this question would be to a respected gallery that represents fine art photographers.
Just for anyone who wants to follow up on this.....the website address is incorrect; there is no "." between mcgreevy and prolab....
Check out mattk.com. He has great photoshop intro courses geared to photographers specifically
This is absolutely true. The copyright symbol is basically useless unless you have filed the image with the U.S. Copyright office in D C. You can file batches of images. That, PLUS having the copyright symbol on each image you post, is the only way you will be compensated for copyright infringement. Speaking from personal experience. By the way, keep away from a company called "Binded"...if they're even still around. They offer to do the filing for you for a fee, and then never do.
Thank you for this comprehensive investigation. It should be posted worlwide on every photo forum, FB page and pro site. What a disgrace of a Company....
Is there a paid support site you recommend?
Hello All,
I have an 8 x 10 portrait. I would like to make an oval selection, invert it and fade to transparent, so I can transfer the image onto wood and the portrait edges just fade out so the wood grain shows through gradually. I am absolutely beside myself trying to get this “fade to transparent” around the portrait. I spent hours on YouTube....nothing. If any of you can tell me how to do this, I’m fairly comfortable with photoshop, but would need specific step by step instructions if it involves gradients, which I never understood. Thank you so so much for any help here....
Thanks so much for this link! Steve is the BEST!
Wow, thanks for this! Im just fighting my way through OBS. This isn't the life i ordered..lol. Do you know..can you have the Nikon D850, a webcam and MacBook Pro camera all showing different scenes zooming at the same time in one window, without having to manually select which camera is zooming the scene?
I love this site...and all the wonderful people that inhabit it... Thank you so much!
I have a Sony RX100 VI that I love and have with me almost all the time. All of a sudden, the on/off button doesn’t activate the lens to extend. The button is not stuck, it presses normally, just that the lens seems stuck. Battery is fully charged. Anyone have any suggestions....or recommendations where to send it for repair? I live upstate NY..thanks all..
You might want to check out Tim Layton's website called Darkroom Underground. Everything you could possibly need to know re working with film
I would suggest you spend half an hour each day on YouTube. Lots of incredibly helpful information there on shooting and processing RAW from some top notch shooters
