Yes! My wife caught me as I began to slip under the fence at White Water Falls and the damp ground just gave way on the other tumble.

Fell 20 feet off a cliff to get the better shot of a waterfall. Didn't break a thing but my camera bounced off the ground and hit me in the nose (ouch)
Almost slid under a makeshift wooden fence and down a much larger fall to large rocks at White Water Falls in NC.
I'm switching to shooting portraits...

HELP!!! Came back from a 9 day cruise with about 500 images. Down loaded them on my Mac and now I can't find them. My card is empty also. On the plane ride home I took my camera out and looked at a few of the images so I know I got them home. Where could they be!!?? Anyone know how I could possibly find them on my Mac?

Yes! When I first started shooting weddings, because like you said, you can't have camera/battery/card failure.
After doing several, I knew I had it down. I kept my equipment in top shape and had a routine check list. After that, I had a lot of fun and no worries...would run over in my mind different poses but the one thing I liked the most was shooting in places i've never been to or seen before. The challenge made me a better photographer and to think quick on my feet.

Thank you, John. Yes, we had lots of fun with the grandson. Took him to caverns with an underground river also. Something he's never seen before.

Yes it is Looking Glass Falls. Was difficult to get a shot with no one in the pic. Took one guy out of it in the lower left.

Oh, I am such a blessed man. My wife ENCOURAGES me in all aspects of photography that I pursue
. She's not too crazy about me going to the ocean before sunrise or in the woods / swamps of South Florida with the snakes and alligators though. She has nothing to worry about. I have two or three rather large life insurance policies on myself....she'll be well taken care of if I should pass. And yes, I know. She would rather have me here...I think (lol)

Went hunting for waterfalls in western North Carolina with our grandson last summer. Had him for a week to spoil before giving him back to mom and dad. Oh the joy of being the GP and not the parent!

I'm jealous. Told my wife if she dies before me i'm buying another bike, ditching the cell phone and riding off to catch the sunset in a new place every day

This one was done on an overcast day with a polarized filter. Hand held (left tripod in Florida ) at about 1/60th. Shot near Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Being overcast and with the filter helped get that "cotton candy" look on the water.
