I've been away from photography for several years, so this is my first post in a long time.

I'm trying to decide between the Sigma 18-300 zoom and the Tamron 18-300. Both look like they have the same specs, but the Tamron is $200 more. My question is, is the Tamron worth the extra $200? TIA

This was an amazing essay, with a lot of serious thought put into every word. Coming from a Republican, it should hold a great deal of weight for all Americans, but especially for disaffected conservatives who saw Trump as some sort of savior. Thanks for sharing.

Someone made a mistake and it was corrected. What is the big deal? Why is this even a news item?

I've disagreed with you on many issues over the years, but always thought you were one of the more intelligent people on the right here on UHH. But lately you have really gone full RWNJ with many of your posts, and this one is a prime example. The interviewer posed her question in a totally false manner, assuming an undocumented person can vote in this country. And the idea of undocumented people voting is absurd on its face. What person would risk deportation just to vote? This was a bogus interview, and Obama correctly implored CITIZENS to vote, especially if they had family members who were undocumented. At no time did he encourage undocumented people to work, and to try to imply that he did is totally disingenuous of you.

That was two guys who stood there for an hour without talking to anyone and then left. Some real horrible intimidation.

I don't believe this poll, DP. It's too close to the election for them to be reliable. Nobody knows how these ppl are voting despite their registration and a lot of Trump voters don't want to be considered to be idiots.

Florida keeps a list of who has voted. Not who they voted for. Targetsmart contacted these people and asked who they voted for. No likely voters, or registered voters, but actual voters. Sounds pretty reliable to me. And what does the proximity to the election have to do with reliability?

for every news item, there is a cacophony of versions and disclosures that completely obfuscate what actually did or did not happen.... wake me up when it's over and we can all pick up the pieces.
I have reached information overload... br br Trum... (show quote)

But Hillary is not going on trial on December 13th for raping a 13 year old, and she's not going on trial for defrauding people through a fake university. She's also not an admitted sexual predator. All other things being equal as you point out, these things put Trump on a whole different level of criminality and sleaze.

Can you show me examples of where anyone on the right has denied others of their 1st amendment rights ? Such as what was shown on the video ?

How about all of the news outlets that Trump has banned from his rallies? Just sayin'.

Regardless of what you read, the election is over, and Trump is toast. No matter how close things are getting in the swing states, Trump has no path to victory. It all comes down to Nevada, and here's why:

The hopefully incoming President of the Senate, Charles Schumer (Amy Schumer's Uncle) was critical of Harry Reid for not using the "nuclear option" to overcome GOP stonewalling on critical votes.
Unless Ted Cruz wants to read us Green Eggs and Ham, which he should be allowed to do for a day or so.

Small correction. The Vice President is the President of the Senate. Schumer will be the Majority Leader, the de facto leader of the Senate.

It's becoming more obvious by the hour that Donald Trump is going to lose this election, quite possibly in a landslide. My question to all the Trump supporters is simply this: what does Trump have to do in the next 27 days to reverse his terrible poll numbers and win this election? This isn't about Hillary, it's not even about pussy comments. Given the current status of the election, what can Trump do to gain the White House in the remaining 4 weeks?

Trump keeps referring to the interview he had with Neil Cavuto as proof that he opposed the war. Today that audio was released and nowhere did he say he was against the war. He questioned the way the war was being waged, but nowhere did he say he was against it.

Maybe there's an alternate broadcast stream for the alt-right delusional? There isn't a pundit out there, including Pappa Bear O'Reiley, that felt Trump "won" the debate. Just read the following endorsement from the uber conservative Arizona Republic:

You know, Arizona, home of mad dog Arpaio, Jan Brewer and Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin? Arizona? Methinks you're off by a few thousand miles, but at least both states begin with an A.

Trump has never said he couldn't because of the IRS, he's always said it's because his lawyers have advised him not to release them while under audit. Get it? I've yet to see his lawyers say he's lying, so I guess it's just the Dem useful idiots which are lying about it, big surprise there.

There is no evidence that he is actually under an audit. He could be making the whole thing up, like the video he claims he saw of all the Muslims celebrating in New Jersey on 9/11. One thing he can release is the letter from the IRS informing him of the audit. Let's see that one first, then we'll deal with the other b.s.
