I have an idea that might help. If your camera has the thirds grid, you might find it helpful to use that to line up your horizon.

Everybody is talking about RAM which is a correct answer to an extent. I have a laptop that had 4 G of RAM. It ran PSE 13 without any problems. Is there any way you could try to load the program on another computer? If you can, check the preferences under file in the menu bar. Go down to performance and check history. Change to 50 or less. That will allow you to use the program with less RAM.

Hi Tony,
Great shot. I looked closely at the photo. I think that the palm tree really is a cell phone tower. I live in Arizona, we have many towers just like the one in the picture. I thought you would like to know. It is another instance that technology is part of our lives no matter where we live.

Hi Seeker,
Who blinked first?
Hi Phil,
I thought that the first one looked like a painting from the Hudson Valley painters. The colors are perfect for a peaceful and serene picture. It would be a great addition to anyone's wall.
Hi Silvia,
I was intrigued by your second picture. I think that the two holes would make an interesting if not funny image. I cannot tell without a look at an image just concentrating on the two holes and the brick wall.
That is where I got my idea.

If you are not taking a selfie, I have a very easy suggestion. A piece of string. Get a piece long enough to loop around your neck. Tie the ends together. Extend the phone until the loop tightens. Make sure your elbows are against your body. That will give you good stability. Use a rubber band to keep the string neet. Good luck.

Your Photos might be corrupted. Turn off Photos and restart by holding down the command plus the option key. Then select repair permissions when asked.
Have you tried to close Photos? Then before you restart hold down the Option key. This will rebuild your library. That might do the trick.
The lens hood is a rubber one. The size is 67mm.
I went for the P900 because I am too old to carry all the equipment for a DSLR any more. I think now I will do more photography now than with my old DSLR.
Thanks Everyone
One question was zoom. It was 2000 mm. My medadata shows up as actual zoom not 35mm size. I have to multiply by 5.60224. It will get you very close. Then just round up to the nearest whole mm.
My intent for the post was to help those who could not hand hold a zoom picture and get it sharp.
Hi Everyone,
I am a new to Hedgehog. I have enjoyed photography since my teens. During the early family years I limited myself to family photos. I retired and took up photography again. Now I have switched to the P900. It is easier for me to carry around than a DSLR. I enjoy just carrying around extra SD cards and batteries with a lens hood.
I have been reading about problems with zoom to 2000mm. I started by reading the manual. I have changed the Vibration Resistance to Active in the menu. I am too old to hold the camera steady. I also spread my feet apart about the width of my shoulders with one foot ahead of the other. My elbows are tight next to my body. I make the camera strap tight to complete a steady platform as possible. I set my ISO higher (400). Set the camera to shutter priority (1250). I took this picture for a demo purpose only. The first one is unretouched. The second I changed the haze reduction in Photoshop Elements 14. Enjoy
The value of a histogram is looking at the edges. If you see the graph go to the top on either side you have an area of the photo that is too light or too dark. That is the value of looking at a histogram in the camera.
