Most Nikon full-frame cameras have an adjustment where you can reduce the amount of the sensor
that will be used.
You are correct that the image circle from a "DX" lens is smaller than the image circle from an "FX" lens,
but the camera uses a smaller amount of the sensor so that the DX lens can be used.

I have the AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G.... My local camera shop said I should not use it on the D750 as its a DX lens... So, I haven't even tried it on this camera, had it for my D5600 that I returned to use towards the purchase of the D750. Should I give it a shot? He recommended the 50mm and I think he said it ran about $800.... must be decent glass.

Wouldn't work on the D750 ...is FX format which is 1.5 x bigger than DX. Let me put it this way...you will be able to take a picture but the lens will not allow enough light through to cover your censor..

Actually, technically it's the 35mm that is about the same angle as the human eye, both eyes open.

Not on Fx format...

A German professional photographer that worked for Geo Magazine in 1981 said this to me. "Never use a standard lens because it takes the same angle as what you see with your eye" Since that day I never bought a 50mm lens. I always go for either 85mm or 35mm. My weddings and all other work I did with a 85mm.. My opinion
Good luck Joe

I leave mine on the camera all the time, whether I use it or not. I let the situation determine if I am going to use the filter.

My advise is not to get a cheap polarize filter. They can be very annoying with al kinds of flare and streaks and scratch easily.

I love my polarizer. I keep on my camera as a protector and use it all the time unless I shoot indoors. You can do most changes in post processing but not polarization...

Can I just put a correction in here, you talk about a "300mm Telephoto". This lens is not a Telephoto, (telephoto lens have a fix focal length) but rather a zoom. Zoom lenses have "focus breathing /zoom breathing" and that differ from one lens to another.

1.It is a creative person who loves photography .
2.Can be creative under pressure and bad circumstances.
3.Pros can build a business in photography.

There are a lot of photographers who can take excellent pictures...and have wonderful postprocessing skills but they cannot build a business.
Thats my opinion.

If you going to shoot wildlife or sport D500, otherwise D750 a excellent choice for low light. If price to high D7500.

This nikkor is one of the best lenses you will get. If you look for "some pop" you maybe need to look at your post processing.....I would say?
