Thank you very much, you saved the day.
HELP!!! I received my camera and not only are the instructions in Chinese, but all the menu functions are in Chinese. Anyone know if the dialog on the camera can be changed?
Thanks from Texas.

WOW, tough decision to make. I am a retired USAF Combat Photojournalist (21years) and was totally Nikon. I carried F3s all over the world, beat them to death. Then I retired and was working in Wolf's Camera Store selling what I knew best....cameras. I guess I really pushed the Nikon Brand as I was a big fan. Then one day a Canon sales rep came in the store and handed me a CANON REBEL (this was in 92) and told me to check it out. I sure did. I really put it through the paces. I shot directly into the sun, then quickly turned to deep shadow. I paned high contrast situations, in other words I did everything you are not supposed to do. I really wanted this camera to be a dud, but it wasn't...I was shooting slides and the exposure is pretty critical. EVERY one of my photos was perfectly exposed and focused correctly. I was blown away. Since then I have been a dedicated Canon man. I highly recommend the Canon Rebel line.
The verdict is in and it's a winner. I just have to give rave reviews about this very inexpensive lens. I was shocked at the lack of distortion and stopped down it has outstanding edge sharpness. If you are a Canon person and are thinking about a super wide angle. this is the one.

I am preparing to purchase a Canon 10-18 IS lens and my question is: If I put a UV Haze filter on it, will it vignette?
Does anyone have one of these and can you tell me if it has a tripod socket? I am planning on buying one for event photography.
I would go with the 18-200. I have been on the cruise and that is what I would've used. I used an 18-135.
What kind of card should I get in order to shoot video on my Canon SL-1? A regular one just gives me about 3 seconds of video at a time.

I tried to shoot some video this Christmas and it would only stay on record for a few seconds then stop. Any ideas?
Happy New Year to all ya'll out there.

DO NOT GET ONE WITH CASTERS!!!!
I made the mistake of using one and almost lost some customers as it slipped away from them while they were getting on. Definitely use the one without casters or take them off as I have done.
THe Error 99 is a "Bad Contact" Error. I get it sometime when I use my 70-200L lens. Just wipe of the contacts, reapply and it should go away.
I use Power Director 10 ($29) It has three levels of slide show production from totally automatic to you have full control. Easy to sort photos and add music. You can insert text anywhere in the slideshow. I checked out a lot of ones as I wanted one I could grow up with and Power Director does it for me.
I agree....I use SmugMug, also, but I fulfill my own orders solely because they won't let me use Meridian Color Labs, which are the greatest in the world in my book.
